This Tuesday, February 1st, is the official Grand Opening Celebration for the New Hosmer Building! This is a major milestone for Watertown and we are thrilled to be able to open the doors to you. This week, each class made a new sign for their classrooms so that they will be able to recognize their new classroom if they attend the celebration on Tuesday.
The Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony will take place at 4 pm and will include hearing from several speakers. Immediately following the ceremony and through 7 pm, guests are welcome to explore the school. We hope that you will attend will your children and ask that they remain with you throughout their visit. The building is quite large and all children are expected to be supervised by their family members.
At the most recent School Committee meeting, the team voted to include Harriet Hosmer, an esteemed artist, in the dedication along with her family members, Alfred and Hiram. We are excited to include her in the celebration of the Hosmer family, for whom our school is named.
