November: Gratitude and Giving at the Hosmer
Posted Date: 11/06/26 (10:41 AM)
In November, classes will read Pa, Me, and Our Sidewalk Pantry by local author Toni Buzzeo, illustrated by Zara Gonzalez Hoang. They will then discuss the power of community, generosity, empathy, and gratitude in circles.
Additionally, as is our tradition in November, we will collect non-perishable food and personal care items for the Watertown food pantries and the Community Fridge over the next two weeks. If you are able to contribute, please consider donating canned goods, pasta, rice, cereal, shampoo, soap, toothpaste, and other non-perishable items. Please make sure your donations are not outdated or expired.
Your child can drop off your donations on the bench outside the Nurse's Office. Please remind them to place each item in the spot that matches their lunch table color so donations are sorted correctly. This will help us sort the donations by Husky Huddle color and make a graph showing the number of items donated by each color.
Thank you for your generosity and support!
