From the Behavioral Health Office

As we embark on a new school year the behavioral health staff is excited to welcome students and families back to the Hosmer School. Within our community we recognize that students come to us with a variety of experiences and skills within a range of developmental stages. We value the importance of fostering emotional growth and supporting the social and emotional needs of our students. Hosmer has
a range of professionals working to support our learners and educators. A behavioral health team including counselors, specialists and psychologists work together to meet student needs. Supports range from collaborating with parents,
and community care providers, social groups, skill based groups, student check ins, lunch groups, teacher consultation, student observations, and monitoring academic
progress. The behavioral health professionals also participate in the special education and 504-team process.
